Downloading & Installing Ledger® Live

Step 1: Download the App

Visit the official Ledger website at ledger.com/ledger-live to download the latest version compatible with your operating system (Windows, macOS, Linux).

Step 2: Install Ledger® Live

Follow the installation wizard instructions. Ensure your system meets the minimum requirements. Once installed, open the application.

Step 3: Device Connection

Connect your Ledger hardware wallet using the provided USB cable. Make sure it is powered on and unlocked before proceeding.

Creating an Account & First Login

Step 1: Open Ledger® Live

Launch Ledger® Live on your computer. The welcome screen will guide you through the initial setup process.

Step 2: Setup a New Account

Select Set up a new device if you have a new Ledger device. Follow the on-screen instructions to initialize it.

Step 3: Secure Your Recovery Phrase

Write down your 24-word recovery phrase carefully. This is critical for account recovery in case your device is lost or stolen.

Warning: Never store your recovery phrase digitally. Avoid taking screenshots or storing online.

Step 4: Login

Once your device is configured, open Ledger® Live, select Login, and connect your device. Your account dashboard will display your crypto assets.

Adding & Managing Cryptocurrencies

Step 1: Navigate to Manager

Open the Manager tab in Ledger® Live to add apps for the cryptocurrencies you own.

Step 2: Install Cryptocurrency Apps

Select the crypto app you want to install and click Install. Your Ledger device will confirm installation.

Step 3: Adding Accounts

Go to the Accounts tab, click Add Account, and select the cryptocurrency. Ledger® Live will sync your wallet and display balances.
